The best beaches with small kids in Ericeira 👶🏼
Praia dos Pescadores and the natural pool of Praia do Sul, right by the big hotel, are perfect as there are no currents & only small waves.
The river-mouth at Foz de Lizandro beach is equally fun, just as much as the low-tide tide-pools at Ribeira Dilhas & São Lourenço beach.

The closest one can be found just behind our guesthouse, on Rua do Carmo Fernando.
A bigger and much livelier playground is at Parque de Santa Marta. Whilst the small ones play with many other kids, parents can enjoy sitting at the cafe & are able to keep an eye on their offspring at all times!
Another lovely playground is to be found on São Sebastião’s water front, by the café.

Cèsar Viveiros keeps its living crustaceans in a cute place with man made caverns. Find the entrance on the side of the restaurant! If you fancy adventurous cooking, you can buy animals here and later prepare then yourself at home!

Visit Euopes biggest Marine Aquarium
We recommend a day trip to the Oceanario in Lisbon! It will open up a mind blowing underwater world to you and your kids: experience the deep blue sea from within!

Get wild in Ericeira’s outdoor adventour park
Baleia Climbing Park is designed for kids from 6 years and onward, with 55,000m2 dedicated to leisure, adventure and outdoor activities.
Try paintball, rappel, or obstacle climbing. Shoot with an arc or climb trees with the help of rope structures.
Rest at the well designed swimming pool and pick nick areas.
You can definitely have a full day of adventure with the whole family here! Half a day is totally worth it too!

Dinosaur Park Lourinhã is about a 30mins car ride away, going north of Ericeira along the coast line.
This is the biggest open air museum of Portugal! You can explore the epic history of dinosaurs, with over 200 full scale models.
To top this, find a Lego-Land, Brickopolis in one and the same place!

Watch river dolfins from the boat
To see dolphins you can go on a boat tour in both, the Tagus or the Sado river!
Sado River: These two companies, Sadoarrabida and Sadoemotion, are located in the south of Lisbon area close to the beautiful Arrabida mountains National Park.
Tagus River: The Lisbon Oceanario offers boat tours for dolphin watching. You can also combine the ticket with a visit in the oceanarium.
